Every year the Town Council sets aside money within the budget for grants, to support local activities and causes which benefit people and projects on Canvey Island. Community groups and organisations are asked to apply for a grant of up to £500 before the closing date of 31st December each year.

In considering applications for financial assistance, the Town Council will take into account the purpose for which the grant is required, the quotes provided, the organisations accounts, how the grant will benefit the residents of Canvey Island, other bodies to which applications for financial assistance have been made, and any other supporting information provided.

Applications will be considered for financial assistance from organisations towards a specific project, item or activity which is non commercial and for capital expenditure only.
